 Leitner System On of the fav orite to ols or strategies the our kids love used for study new vocabulary are the flashcards. Sebastian Leitner, a German science journalist, created the flashcard study method called the Leitner System to assist in more effective learning. The Leitner System employs the concept of spaced repetition, which is an approach to memorization that uses time intervals. Rather than filling information into your brain all in one sitting, spaced repetition encourages learners to space out learning over periods of time. Under the Leitner System, learners dedicate different time periods to studying certain flashcards and concepts, based on the learner’s own needs or preferences. This strategy you can used it for the Unit vocabulary or for any vocabulary or word list. High-Frequency words also know as "Sight Words" are the words that appears most often in printed materials like books, and magazines. Learning to recognize high-frequency words by sight is critical to developing fluency in reading. Students should be able to read these words individually and in sentences and stories. Automatic recognition of high frequency words provides an essential starting point for your child becoming a confident reader. It is important to note that  12 high frequency words make up 25% of words we read and write.  100 high frequency words make up 50% of words we read and write. about 300 high frequency words account for 75% of words we read and write.   Utilizando el libro de "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" ya sea de modo impreso por video puedes hacer esta pequeña y sencilla actividad para que de una forma muy divertida los peques trabajen en  reconocimiento de letras. Yo la adecues  a las letras de los nombre de cada niño. Esta actividad lo puedes realizar con el grupo completo o en tus pequeños grupos si trabajas con esta técnica.  Lo primero es leer el libro: este lo puedes hacer utilizando la estrategia de lectura en voz alta o en repetición.  Luego con letras Magnéticas o Letras en Rompecabezas, entregas cada ni;o las letras necesarias para formar su nombre. Y con ello que puedan formar por sí solos su nombre. Después de esto entregas la hoja de trabajo donde ellos tendrán que colorear las letras con las que forman su nombre.
